To celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Taste of Whisky, we are launching a new brand: The Taste of Rum. We begin this adventure with a cask chosen after months of preparation and samples from many other rums. Join us on a journey to sun-soaked Guyana and the sweet 1990s, to a rum from the Diamond distillery whose texture, aroma and flavour recall GlenDronach whiskies from the late twentieth century. Our 26-year-old Diamond was distilled on 1 June 1996, matured in a bourbon barrel under a continental climate — although some sources say it spent its first year in the tropics, this has not been confirmed — and bottled in December 2022 at its natural strength of 47.3%. For this bottling, we chose a completely new presentation: the Glencairn Supreme Decanter.
